Sarah’s practice focuses on general business law, intellectual property issues, including intellectual property licensing, internet law, domain names and domain name disputes, and trademarks. Sarah also provides pro bono legal advice to various local non-profits, including the Sunflower Children (www.sunflowerchildren.org) and Gloria’s Angels (www.gloriasangels.org).

Prior to joining Impact Law Group, Sarah was Senior Vice President of Legal & Business Affairs for Demand Media, Inc. Sarah oversaw all legal matters related to Demand Media’s businesses from its inception in March 2006 until March 2009. In addition to intellectual property matters, Sarah’s work included strategic business relationships, mergers and acquisitions, government relations, and company negotiations with suppliers and vendors. During this period Sarah led 42 merger and acquisition transactions (includes both buy and sell side transactions). Sarah also handled corporate governance matters and held the title of Assistant Corporate Secretary. Additionally, in June 2005, Sarah joined eNom, Inc., (currently a wholly-owned subsidiary of Demand Media) the world's second largest domain registrar as Assistant General Counsel and further served as served as its General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, from June 2006 to March 2009.

Before eNom, Sarah was a corporate finance and securities associate at Perkins Coie LLP, where she worked on mergers and acquisitions, venture financings, offerings of equity and debt securities, joint ventures, and general business representation of both private and public companies. Sarah holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in English literature and Journalism from the University of Montana. She earned her Juris Doctor from Seattle University in 2000.

Sarah participates in many community service activities including the Junior League of Seattle.  In addition, Sarah previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of Food Lifeline and Parent Trust for Washington Children.
